Over the weekend I got the rare opportunity to photography my fist boxing night at the Masonic Temple for Global Legacy Boxing.
The event photography aspect was old hat to me. Capturing a combination of photos that tell the story of the night with candids of key guests. The sports photography aspect on the other hand was an interesting challenge. I had to change from using my trusty AF-S to AF-C 9 points and try to predict where the action was going to be and click just moments before I think a punch was going to be thrown. It took a round or two to get my timing but by the end of the night I was feeling pretty confident in my shots. The following is a small collection of what I captured that evening.
